Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return is a 3D-animated musical based on the adventure books by Roger S. Baum, the great-grandson of L. Frank Baum. A continuation of one of the world’s most popular and beloved fairy tales, Legends of Oz finds Dorothy (Lea Michele) waking to post-tornado Kansas, only to be whisked back to Oz to try to save her old friends the Scarecrow (Dan Aykroyd), the Lion (Jim Belushi), the Tin Man (Kelsey Grammer) and Glinda (Bernadette Peters) from a devious new villain, the Jester (Martin Short). Wiser the owl (Oliver Platt), Marshal Mallow (Hugh Dancy), China Princess (Megan Hilty) and Tugg the tugboat (Patrick Stewart) join Dorothy on her latest magical journey through the colorful landscape of Oz to restore order and happiness to Emerald City. Set to the tunes of Academy Award-nominated singer/songwriter Bryan Adams, Legends of Oz marks a charming, family-friendly return to the Oz franchise.

A new trailer has arrived for the long-awaited animated fantasy adventure Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return, which comes just in time for The Wizard of Oz' 75th Anniversary. This new tale finds Dorothy (Lea Michele) being whisked back to the Emerald City, where she learns that the land has been overtaken by a cruel Jester, and that she is the only hope for salvation. She joins her old pals Scarecrow, Lion and Tin Man to fight back and restore peace to the kingdom. Summertime Entertainment has released the first trailer for Dorothy of OZ, the studio's upcoming animated follow-up to The Wizard of Oz. The story takes place after the events of the 1939 classic, with Dorothy (Lea Michele) back in Kansas, after the tornado that took her to Oz has destroyed her hometown. Before long, she is whisked back to the magical land of Oz to help find her missing friends Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, and Tin Man. Check out the first footage from this animated adventure, also featuring the voices of Dan Aykroyd, James Belushi, Martin Short, and Kelsey Grammer.

Bernadette Peters Boards ‘Dorothy of Oz’

The actress will voice Glinda alongside Glee's Lea Michele, who is portraying Dorothy in this animated tale. They are both singing a duet for the soundtrack.

Comic-Con 2011 Recap: 158 Exclusive Interviews, 135 Stories, and 308 Videos

It's been one full week since a billion sexy nerds descended upon San Diego for their annual Comic-Con event, which has become the premiere Hollywood launching pad for just about everything in the way of entertainment. This was a strange year, as no one property walked away from the grit, glitz, glamour, and geek sweat of the experience better for showing off its wares to what has become a very bored public.

SDCC 2011 wasn't without incident, though. The scuffles in and around the convention center floor have gotten more intense in recent years. Back when Twilight made its San Diego debut, a young, passionate tweenage girl was hauled away in handcuffs for aggressively picketing the casting choice of Robert Pattinson in the role of Edward Cullen. Last year an attendee stabbed another audience member in the eye with a pencil after fighting over a seat. This year's big brouhaha actually involved one of the stars of, quite possibly, the biggest comic book movie making a splash at SDCC 2011.

Actor Patrick Stewart is set to join various cast and crew of Dorothy of OZ for the animated musical's big Comic-Con debut. A long time Comic-Con fan favorite for his revered work in the Sci-Fi world via "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and the "X-Men" film franchise, this marks Patrick Stewart's first public appearance at the original San Diego Con.

During the panel "Further Over the Rainbow: A First Look at Dorothy of OZ," approximately 6500 lucky fans will have a chance to be the first to see a first reveal of footage and clips, and exclusive cast out-takes from the 2012 film starring Lea Michele (Dorothy), Martin Short (The Jester), James Belushi (Lion), Dan Aykroyd (Scarecrow), Kelsey Grammer (The Tin Man), Megan Hilty (China Princess), Hugh Dancy (Marshall Mallow), Oliver Platt (Wiser the Owl), and Patrick Stewart (Tugg).
