Meet the Spartans

(2008)

After successfully skewering Hollywood's scariest movie (as two of the writers on "Scary Movie"), romantic comedy franchises ("Date Movie"), and Hollywood blockbusters ( "Epic Movie"), writers/directors/producers Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer now set their sights on "300." The heroic Leonidas, armed with nothing by leather underwear and a cape, leads a ragtag group of 13 - count 'em, 13! -- Spartans to defend their homeland against the invading Persians (whose ranks include Ghost Rider, Rocky Balboa, the Transformers, and a hunchbacked Paris Hilton).

Get ready for some good spoofing fun in both formats this June. Meet the Spartans is coming to DVD and Blu-Ray on June 3. The standard, unrated disc will be priced at $29.98 and the Blu-Ray disc will be priced at $39.98. The films stars Kevin Sorbo, Carmen Electra and Diedrich Bader.

In Meet the Spartans, the heroic Leonidas, armed with nothing but leather underwear and a cape, leads a ragtag group of 13-count 'em, 13!-warriors to defend their homeland against the invading Persians, whose ranks include Ghost Rider, Rocky Balboa, the Transformers, and a hunchbacked Paris Hilton.
