The Creeds buy a house in Ludlow, Maine. Not so far away is clear path that leads to a little Pet Sematary in the woods,which hides a mysterious Micmac Indian Burying ground. The story is about , when Louis Creed's daughter's cat Church gets killed in the road, and Jud taked Louis up to a sacred place to bury the cat, the Micmac Indian Burying Ground, and didn't come back the same, Church came back evil. And soon, and Louis's son Gage gets killed in the road, and a couple of days later after Gage's funeral, Louis dug him up, and buries Gage in the Minmac Indian Burying Ground. Gage doesn't come back the same, he came back evil, and soon things get out of control, and what is Louis going to do about it?

‘Pet Sematary’ Remake Revived at Paramount

Paramount Pictures is looking to bring back the 1989 horror classic Pet Sematary with a new remake.

1408 screenwriter Matt Greenberg recently turned in a draft to the studio and it is said that Paramount is currently seeking a high-level director for the project. The studio declined comment on the development of this new Pet Sematary remake.

Matthew Greenberg Remaking ‘Pet Sematary’

1408 screenwriter Matthew Greenberg is revisiting Stephen King territory with plans to reboot Pet Sematary, the 1989 horror about an evil cat who comes back from the dead. Meow!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lorenzo di Bonaventura recently boarded as producer on the long-gestating project, which is set up at Paramount.

Paramount to remake PET SEMATARY

Pet Semetary: According to Variety, Face/Off scribes Mike Werb and Michael Colleary have been tapped to disinter Pet Sematary.

Paramount has signed the screenwriting team to script a remake of the horror thriller, based on Stephen King's story of a family moving to a small Maine town with a pet cemetery and an Indian burial ground, for Par-based Alphaville to produce.
