‘Prometheus’ Blu-ray Viral 'Transmission' Video

Who says a viral campaign has to stop once a movie hits theaters? A mysterious viral "transmission" has been released for Prometheus, presumably tied to the upcoming Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, and DVD release on October 11. The video features Idris Elba as Captain Janek, undergoing some sort of preparations. What does this all mean? We haven't the foggiest idea, but you can take a look for yourself to try and decipher some meaning out of it. We also have seven new photos from Ridley Scott's sci-fi thriller, featuring Idris Elba, Noomi Rapace, and Michael Fassbender.

‘Prometheus’ Sequel Coming from Ridley Scott in 2014-2015

The studio is currently in talks with new writers to draft the sequel. Damon Lindelof, who wrote the original, may not be available to work on the follow-up, due to his involvement with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and several other projects.

Fox is looking at releasing the sequel in either 2014 or 2015.

‘Prometheus’ Blu-ray Special Features Revealed!

Director Ridley Scott's Prometheus is still playing in theaters nationwide, although many are now wondering what will be included on the upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release. Today we have an unconfirmed report that lists a number of Prometheus special features, to be included in a nine-disc French boxed set entitled Evolution: From Alien to Prometheus, which will be released October 3. These extras have not been confirmed for the U.S. home video release, although there are some unique offerings in the special features. Take a look at the special features, along with early cover art for the Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, and DVD. There is no confirmed release date for these upcoming U.S. titles at this time.

‘Prometheus’ Viral Video Teases Comic-Con 2012 'Recruitment'

Even though Prometheus has been in theaters for nearly a month, that doesn't mean the viral campaign is slowing down one bit. The ProjectPrometheus.com website has been updated with a Careers section that also includes this video featuring Weyland Industries nanotechnologist "Jamie Rossi." The end of the video features the link ProjectPrometheus.com/SDCC that states the company will be recruiting at San Diego Comic-Con this year. Take a look at the video, along with this teaser photo from the recruitment site.

It isn't clear what this fictional company will be "recruiting" for at SDCC this year. Stay tuned for more details as soon as they come in.
