After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex's life. ‘RoboCop’ Statue to Be Unveiled in Detroit Tomorrow

With 20th Century Fox's RoboCop debuting on Blu-ray, DVD and VOD June 3, the city of Detroit will unveil their 10-foot bronze statue of the crime-fighting cyborg, portrayed by Peter Weller in the original Robocop and by Joel Kinnaman in this year's reboot. While the mayor responded that there were no plans for a RoboCop statue, non-profit organization Imagination Station raised $50,000 to fund the construction, just days after the initial suggestion was made. But OmniCorp never counted on one thing: there is still a man fighting inside the machine.
