A rather odd thing has just just occurred in the life of nerdy high school student Peter Parker; after being bitten by a radioactive spider, his body chemistry is mutagenically altered in that he can scale walls and ceilings, and he develops a "spider-sense" that warns him of approaching danger. Adopting the name "Spider-Man", Peter first uses his newfound powers to make money, but after his uncle is murdered at the hands of a criminal Peter failed to stop, he swears to use his powers to fight the evil that killed his uncle.
At the same time, scientist and businessman Norman Osborn, after exposure to an experimental nerve gas, develops an alternate personality himself; the super-strong, psychotic Green Goblin! Peter Parker must now juggle three things in his life; his new job at the local newspaper under a perpetually on-edge employer, his battle against the evil Green Goblin, and his fight to win the affections of beautiful classmate Mary Jane Watson, against none other than his best friend Harry Osborn, son of Norman Osborn! Is this challenge too much for even the amazing Spider-Man to handle?
Tom Holland will first debut as Peter Parker in next year's Captain America: Civil War, which is currently shooting in Atlanta, before taking on his own Spider-Man adventure. Jon Watts (Cop Car) is directing, with John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein, who wrote and directed the upcoming Vacation reboot, set to write the screenplay. It isn't known when production will begin yet, but Sony Pictures has already given a July 28, 2017 release date for the reboot.
It has been rumored that the first Spider-Man will be the first installment of a new trilogy, which is entirely set in high school. Each movie will reportedly take place during one year of high school, with the first skipping over the origin story about how Spidey gets his powers, that was already told in Sam Raimi and Marc Webb's movies. Spider-Man will already be an established hero, as he tries to juggle his school work with cleaning up the streets of New York.Read More

Hugh Jackman reveals that he was almost set to appear as Wolverine in director Sam Raimi's blockbuster, although it wasn't a studio or rights issue that prevented this from happening. Take a look at what the actor had to say, while promoting his upcoming thriller Prisoners."In the first Spider-Man -- Kevin Feige reminded me of this -- we really tried to get me to come on and do something, whether it was a gag or just to walk through the shot or something. The problem was, we couldn't find the suit. The suit was stuck in some thing. And so when they were in New York when I was there, we couldn't get it together.Read More
