Filmmaker Tom Shadyac is in talks to take the helm on The Intouchables English-language remake for The Weinstein Company. Colin Firth is said to be circling a lead role, but nothing has been solidified at this time. The Intouchables has earned over $400 million worldwide, starring François Cluzet and Ceasar award winner Omar Sy. While the black ex-con caters to the wealthy white man in the original, it is not known if the same will hold true for the remake.
