Wendy Crewson has boarded the biopic Winnie from Equinoxe Films, starring opposite Terrence Howard and Jennifer Hudson who portray Nelson and Winnie Mandela.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Crewson will play activist Mary Botha, who becomes a social worker in South Africa after witnessing a brutal police assault on a black youth. After befriending the Mandelas during the fight against apartheid, Botha is subjected to phone-tapping, police harassment and house arrest.Read More
It seems that Jennifer Hudson has found a new on-screen husband for her upcoming biopic. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Terrence Howard will star as South African leader Nelson Mandela in the new film Winnie, which is based off the life of Mandela's former wife, Winnie Mandela.
