Wrath of the Titans Review
“Wrath Of The Titans Is No Surprise As It Is Ten Times The Movie Its Predecessor Was. But That's Not Saying Much, Including Much Better 3D Effects, But The Same Cheesy Acting. A New Director Could Not Save This Series Yet Again. Rent It At Best.”

When Clash of the Titans remake came out 2 years ago i was ecstatic to see it. It looked pretty legit, the perfect marketing in the trailer. Then something happened.... I SAW IT. Clash of the Titans was one of the worst remakes i had ever seen. How could you go from the previous one in the 1980s (which was already terrible) to worse. Well it happened. Was it the terrible and crappy 3D Conversion? that was probably the "jist" of it. Well the Titans has learned from before and decided to shoot this film the more traditional way in 3D and that still did not help the movie. I Had just the same headache i did when i was watching the first one. Directors need to understand that 3D adds nothing to the movie. And after this movie well it makes sense that i will most likely never want to see another 3D movie again. Aside from Titanic. Bringing back the same original cast Worthington, Neeson & Fiennas. But getting itself a brand new director Jonathan Liebesman (Battle L.A). So yea Wrath of the Titans is major step up from the previous one, it actually has a decent story that you can ..kind of follow..the acting gets better. and the action sequences were well done ---probably the best thing the movie has to offer..which is why people are most likely flocking to see this. But still Wrath lacks that it can't even get a grip on itself and even though the acting is better its still just about as atrocious as the first one. And even worse news for some strange reason this one is set up for .. you guessed it? another one.. whats this one gonna be Remember the Titans (o wait they already made that).
Story: 2.5/5 - After the defeat of the Kraken, Perseus (Sam Worthington), the demigod son of Zeus (Liam Neeson), now lives as a fisherman with his 10 year old son, Helius (John Bell), from his recently deceased wife Io. One night, Perseus is visited by Zeus, who tells him that the powers of the gods are fading and the walls of the underworld prison of Tartarus are breaking due to the lack of devotion from humans and states they will need the world's armies to combat the potential threat, but Perseus declines to get involved. Zeus then descends to Tartarus to meet with his brothers Hades (Ralph Fiennes) and Poseidon (Danny Huston), and his son Ares (Edgar Ramirez). Zeus tells Hades they must forget the past and unite to rebuild Tartarus, but Hades orders his demons to attack him and Ares betrays Zeus over showing Perseus more affection, taking him prisoner and stealing his thunderbolt. Hades and Ares plan to drain Zeus' power to revive their father Kronos in exchange for the two to remain immortal. - (story took from Wikipedia)
Story - 2.5/5 - the story here is worthy at best, even though its a plot you can follow its really not a story your going to care about. Its pretty much a chance for the big buff guys to get into fights with each other and i do admit the final action scene was way better and more entertaining then Clash when Medusa was the villain. At least this one was human. Acting: 2/5 - well the actors are the same old familiar faces from the previous entry and as they do all give and try there best i felt nothing, i thought it was more for the paycheck then the actual movie and i do like Sam. He has a lot of potential as the actor and he has a promising career ahead of him (well i guess it has already started) and Liam Neeson should have just walked away from this franchise after the great turnout for the Grey hes next movie should have been a great follow in that footsteps. But to each his own. Bill Nighy also adds some flare to the movie. But it was rushed and i wish we could have found out more about his character. Directing: 3/5 - Well Liebesman has come a long way since he last directed 2003's Darkness Falls ( yes i still remember that film). But he tries to revive the series and almost succeeds but for the most part its not the vision i think he wanted.
Overall: 2.5/5 - Wrath of the Titans is no surprise as it is ten times the movie its predecessor was. But that's not saying much, including much better 3D Effects, but the same cheesy acting. A New director could not save this series yet again. Rent It at best. So as the first one you should never touch within a ten foot poll. Wrath of the Titans , is a movie you should watch at your own expense. So like me don't go waste $10 admission fee, but instead wait to get for $1 out of redbox. Sadly this movie will do well at the box office so you should expect a 3rd entry not to far away. This time i have learned my lesson and won't waste the gas or the money. Unless Spielberg steps in to save this franchise im no longer interested. But there are decent effects here and much less cheesy cornball lines that were said in the first one. And no Scorpions. And your also not going to hear a million times RELEASE THE KRAKEN!. So fanboys unite if you want to waste your money go ahead its nothing special just another movie part of March Madness!. But im gonna give it the best i can give it which is a Rent It from me. But if you wanna waste the money go ahead. Because no one is stopping you. Feel the WRATH!.
Thanks for Stoppin Buy ...
