                Grand Theft Auto

                  Daniel Radcliffe is in negotiations to star in Grand Theft Auto, a true-life account of a fight between the creator of Grand Theft Auto and a Miami lawyer who wanted to ban video game violence. Radcliffe will play Sam Houser, the British co-founder and president of Rockstar Games, the company behind GTA as well as games such as Max Payne and Red Dead. He is credited in popularizing GTA into one of the video game world’s biggest franchises but also amping up the violence quotient.

                  Def Jam/Russell Simmons Biopic

                    The film would be based on 2002’s Life and Def: Sex, Drugs, Money, + God, co-written by Simmons and Nelson George, which chronicles Simmons’ career, particularly the creation (with Rubin) of the legendary hip hop label that defined rap in the 80s. We’re told it would focus on the early years of Def Jam, and how hip hop grew from an underground sensation into a dominant and pivotal voice of culture and change.

                      Claflin will play the lead role of Robin Friday, the controversial and wild English soccer legend who played for Reading and Cardiff, Wales in the 1970s and died tragically at the young age of thirty eight. Friday’s short-lived, but brilliant talent continues to be remembered by his fans, and in 2004 he was voted “all time cult hero” in a BBC poll. He was just as well known for his hedonistic lifestyle off the field and was named #1 in a Channel 4 list of soccer “Bad Boys.”
