The story centers around Seth Rogen's character, a young inventor who takes a road trip to try and sell his new product. He invites his mother (Barbra Streisand) along for the ride, with the secret agenda of reuniting her with a lost lover. Yvonne Strahovski will play an ex-girlfriend of Seth Rogen's character, who proposed to her once in high school.
Anne Fletcher (The Proposal) will direct this new comedy from a screenplay by Dan Fogelman (Tangled, Crazy Stupid Love), who wrote the screenplay based on his own experiences in traveling with his mother. Seth Rogen's writing partner Evan Goldberg will produce alongside Lorne Michaels and John Goldwyn.
It isn't clear when production will start on My Mother's Curse.
