Nate Parker, who can currently be seen alongside Richard Gere in Arbitrage, has signed on to star in Non-Stop for Universal Pictures and director Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown).

Liam Neeson stars in this thriller as an air marshal who squares off with an American terrorist threatening to kill a passenger every 20 minutes if the marshal doesn't kill himself. Nate Parker will play a passenger who help the aging protagonist diffuse the threat.

Jaume Collet-Serra will direct from a screenplay by Christopher Roach and John W. Richardson. Joel Silver, Andrew Rona, and Alex Heineman are producing through their Silver Pictures company. This project is the first to come out of Silver Pictures' new deal with Universal Pictures, after parting ways with Warner Bros. earlier this year. Production is scheduled to begin within the next few weeks in New York City.
