It's only fitting that a National Treasure scores big the week before a national holiday. According to The Hollywood Reporter, National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets was by far the best-selling DVD in the week ending May 25. The disc received little competition from newcomers as the new editions of the Indiana Jones trilogy, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade finished second, third and fourth, respectively. Fittingly enough, the first National Treasure claimed the fifth spot in sales, rounding out an action-packed week on the shelves.

National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets was the top rental as well, taking in an estimated $8.7 million, while last week's top rental, Mad Money, slipped to second place with $6.1 million. The only other new theatrical release that made a dent was Strange Wilderness, which finished in fourth place on the rental charts with $5.1 million, although it finished in 16th place on the sales charts.

National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets continued its supremacy on Blu-Ray as the top high-def seller of the week, while National Treasure's Blu-Ray came in second and a BD combo of both films was the third best-seller.
