Lost's Naveen Andrews has signed on to star in the double feature horror/thriller, Grind House for The Weinstein Company.

Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino are putting the film together, on the writing side; both are taking directing duties on two 60-minute segments. In between the two features, made-up trailers and ads will be shown.

Variety reports Andrews takes on the role of "a badass military scientist," according to the producers; he will join Planet Terror, the zombie movie that is Rodriguez's portion of the project.

The Grind House cast already includes Freddy Rodriguez, Rose McGowan and Josh Brolin, all for Rodriguez's part; Tarantino's segment, a slasher pic called Death Proof, has yet to be cast.

Production is set to begin in Austin, Texas this summer; Grind House has a Easter 2007 release date.
