NBC wants to make sure its new late-night show starts out on a strong note by giving the show hefty lead-ins. According to Variety, NBC has pushed some of its season finales to the first week of June, to serve as a proper lead-ins for the debut of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.

The network has moved the season finale of Medium to Monday June 2, which will be followed by Law & Order: Special Victims Unit's finale before The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien premieres that night. The network will also air the season finale of Law & Order on Tuesday June 3 and the network will also debut the new series The Listener on Wednesday June 4.

"We'll give Conan the best launch possible during his premiere week," said NBC Entertainment/Universal Media Studios co-chair Ben Silverman.
