It seems that an NBC series is really on its own this December. According to Variety, the first-year series Crusoe will start airing original episodes on Saturday nights on December 6. The move is to make room for Lipstick Jungle, which will be moved to the Friday night 9 PM timeslot on December 5.

NBC had originally been set to cancel the series starring Brooke Shields, but there does seem to be life in the series still, and the network went ahead and ordered four more hours of the season. The four additional hours will air on December 5, December 12 and then on January 2 and 9 after the holidays.

Crusoe still has six more episodes to air from its 13-episode order.
