New Captain America Costume Revealed in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Set Photos

Today's photos from the set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier give us a better look at the upgraded Captain America costume. These shots feature Chris Evans' stunt double riding a motorcycle on the Lorain Avenue Bridge in Cleveland, and it seems that he may be getting his shield ready to toss at an unseen enemy. We also see a few young fans dressing up in their own Captain America outfits, because who doesn't like to see kids dressed up as superheroes? What do you think of Cap's new outfit? Do you prefer this outfit or the original design from Captain America: The First Avenger?

By request, these photos have been removed.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier was released April 4th, 2014.

If he wears this suit, then in a way he is not Cap anymore. He is Capt. Steve Rogers and promoted to Colonel. Bucky stays Cap with a diff suit all together. I know Marvel was bought, and put their own spine on it, but seriously? Just use the chain or ultimate suit.

I would give the suit we see him wearing in the images above a chance. At least it is not the suit we saw him wearing in The Avengers that quite a bit of people did not like.

@undeadslayer4 When was the last time you read the comics surrounding Captain America? Sounds like you've missed a lot. They brought Bucky back killed off Steve made Bucky Captain America and then brought Steve back as Steve Rogers with no mask and wearing the blue and white suit that also happens to be the same suit they are using for this film. Since then Marvel has somewhat rebooted with their Marvel Now comics and Steve Rogers is back in the red white and blue.

@undeadslayer4 To be honest that suit never bothered in the movie as much as it did in set photos and trailers.

In the Civil War storyline from the comics, Steve Rogers (Captain America) is supposedly killed and James Barnes takes over. As it turns out Rogers isn't dead and when he returns he doesn't take over as Captain America leaving that to Barnes, but chooses to remain unmasked as simply Steve Rogers and the suit he wears is the same one they are apparently using for this film with the addition of the helmet style from the first movie. Personally, I lke this helmet style, but I'm not a big fan of this suit. I thought the first film was by far the best look. At times in the Avengers, Chris Evans looked like a complete dork in that helmet.

Indecisive on how I should feel about the costume.

Little iffy on the costume, but I'm definitely excited for the film. The Winter Soldier was such a cool character.

"The costume sucks" (generic negative reaction).

Clearly, that means the film will be terrible...

@youngrizo I immediately liked the costume from the first movie when I saw it. With this one I just don't think there's enough red & it looks dorky.

I simply got paid $6784 operating off my laptop computer this month. And if you're thinking that that is cool, my unmarried friend has twin toddlers and revamped $9k her 1st month. It feels therefore sensible creating abundant|such a lot|most} cash once others have to be compelled to work for thus much less. this is often what I do, www.Pro67.com

@ObiWanShinobi Considering they saidf it was his stunt double.... and considering it LOOKS like his stunt double.... and considering it its 100% his stunt double - i'm guessing it's his stunt double and you're a bit of an idiot... :)

Wasn't this the same thing people were saying last time before they saw the final look in the movie? It's kind of odd to say that about a sideline pic that's not giving you a look at the final product is it not?

Especially when we all know people always say this before they see the final thing and when they do they are like, oh it looks great now

Looks horrible. The first pic obviously isn't Chris Evans so I'm hoping this guy is just a Captain America wannabe in the film lol.

It's most likely just his stunt double though. Sigh.
