What better way is there to get over the mid-week slump then to be overloaded by superhero pictures? We can't think of a way, and neither can the good folks at Empire Online, who are bringing us new shots of Hugh Jackman in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Ed Norton from The Incredible Hulk and Robert Downey Jr. from Iron Man.
The superhero extravaganza begins with the image of Robert Downey Jr. right on the magazine's cover, where the life-support apparatus which is a key part of the armor that keeps Tony Stark alive is seen glowing through his t-shirt.
Then, inside the magazine we have a posed shot of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine posed to leap into action, as we can see here.
Finally, the new issue will feature a story about The Incredible Hulk, which shows off a picture of Ed Norton strapped to a gurney. Norton, who plays Bruce Banner in the film doesn't look happy. And we all know what happens when you make Bruce Banner angry. The story also shows off an image of William Hurt's General "Thunderbolt" Ross. Both pictures can be seen here.
Iron Man, starring Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges and Gwyneth Paltrow flies into theatres on May 2, 2008.
The Incredible Hulk, starring Edward Norton, William Hurt, Liv Tyler and Tim Roth smashes into theatres on June 13, 2008.

The film stars Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Dominic Monaghan, Danny Huston, Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch, will.i.am, Daniel Henney, and Lynn Collins.
