300 Sequel/Prequel Storyline Revealed

Source:  IESB
Director Zack Snyder has revealed that there will be a prequel/sequel to 300, which was adapted from the graphic novel of the same name, written and illustrated by Frank Miller.

IESB caught up with the director who said:
He's spoken with Frank Miller who will be writing and drawing the graphic novel that the second film will be based on. Upon Miller's completion of the book, then, and only then, will they delve into writing a script for the movie.

Snyder continued and said he would not have any input into the novel and wants it to be a creation of Miller's 100%.

Snyder also said it will take place between the Battle of Thermopylae and the Battle of Plataea, the battle that narrator Dilios is at while re-telling the story of King Leonidas and the mighty Spartans to a new group of warriors at the end of 300.

No production or release date have been set.

no way, shut up all of your warner bros. asses just wanna make prequels to every fuckin thing.
I guess a prequel for I am ledgend would be intresting.
But this, Hell no. leave this movie alone.
it was a very very big masterpeice. plz don't RUIN it.
I mean Warner Bros was the worst at makin stuff, like A prequel to 300 and the Harry potter 6 thingy- I'll never forget this one- come on WB you make good movies, but bad decisions after it.

A masterpiece should be left alone and not find a way to see if they can make another one better.

Not needed. Leo died and if all their gonna focus on is the last battle, no matte how cool it looked, then this is stupid, no offense to Snyder, or Miller, whoever wants it.

It'll suck. Especially since Frank's only writing the graphic novel BECAUSE Snyder want's to make another movie. That formula doesn't work too well. It did once though, like when Michael Crichton wrote "The Lost World" while Steven Spielberg made the movie, hence the differences. Though if Snyder's gonna wait for the novel to be done then that's different...It'll be a better attempt yes, and that's different...IT'LL SUCK MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible cash-cow move. Such a money venture will inevitably take away from 300, which was cinematically amazing.

I don't think this is a good idea. 300 was good, but it should have been a stand-alone movie, as an inferior sequel can end up reflecting badly on the first. Still, production has yet to begin, so I'll, be keeping tabs to see if it becomes anything to get excited about.

hmmm, I don`t know, perhaps this will also be awesome, but then again, today when they are talking about sequels in hollywood it fells more like they wan`t to make more money.
But then again we havn`t seen anything from this so far, so I can`t really judge this.
