In a story from Variety, Magnolia Pictures has picked up the U.S. rights to Dagur Kari's The Good Heart.

The film stars Brian Cox, Paul Dano and Isild Le Besco.

The Good Heart focuses on the grouchy owner of a New York bar that serves host to "a motley assortment of professional drinkers."

The Good Heart is going to come out next year. It is first up for Magnolia's video-on-demand program. It will come out a month later in a theatrical release.
