I will admit that Cameron has done more pandering to sales reps than to fans, and if he wants to get theaters interested in shelling out for 3-D, he needs to create a better demand market for the movie.

I still want a website there is no website for the movie yet some movies had a website up by now with just a photo and where you can sign up for more info and the hold up could be from needing the new projectors in cinemas just to show this movie they say it better then Real 3-D yea i dont know why there is still no trailer i guess they just whant to keep us waiting...

The trailer exists, they're just probably trying to amplify its impact by coupling it with a big release rather than giving it to the fanboys, who are at this time the only people that really know about the film and might destroy its chances to get good publicity by doing what they usually do, bitching at the stupidest things and saying that that's the reason the entire movie sucks.

DIaigma, I've said this a million times. Cameron had his title about six years before the lame ass Airbender animated series even came out.

I love a deep plot juxtaposed with a lush backdrop, and I think overwhelming visuals will probably be enough to drum up a fair amount of word of mouth interest. Transformers had excellent (if misused) visuals, and that's been a big selling point for a lot of people.

Probably, Tortalfilm and Empire gave it an average review, but stated the plot is too mind boggling but the visuals are amazing, well of what they saw in the like i think it was 50 minute preview.

But they have doubts on it, but i guess we will have to wait and see

And if theaters don't by 3D
A) Their loss, this will be fawesome if James Cameron comes through even halfway on what he's promised
B) The film is supposed to be pretty cool besides. Internal buzz says the money is very happy, and when people who only think in scope of how many tickets something will sell say something will do well, something's there.

Can't wait for the trailer. I'm sure it will come at Comic-Con. I have lost no interest in this film, regardless of Cameron keeping footage from us. This is going to be a great movie.

Regardless it still won't top TDK. As for the 3D technology crap, I really don't care for 3D movies that much.

July 1st, 2009 5:05pm
yeah i am aware. But that is only because cinemas have refused to buy the 3d tech require to view this film.

July 1st, 2009 4:33pm
I really don't think Cameron has anything to worry about. I don't know if you're aware Ottley, but there is a 2-d version of this film.

OK one thing.

majority of cinemas, don't even have the 3.D technoloigy to this film and are refusing to buy it, unless 20th century fox pays for it.
So currently this will only be in 3D on IMAX, who is going to pay to see a film that has a conclusion a baffling plot which no one can understand, which no one has even heard of or seen trailer too.

and well with the rep of 20th century fox this year, ain't doing this film so good.
No one knows what James Cameron's Avatar is, so it better be something fucking amazing, otherwise epic failure proceeds

I just reckon he is thinking too confident about this movie because, Titanic was a big blockbuster hit, he believes his next film will be as well.
His hyped this film up too much that its dead to film fanatics...

He thinks this will steal the show, when he has too take a look at the line up...Iron Man 2 teaser is going to be there apparently, Toy Story 3 and TR2N.

Avatar will make money but not as much as the studio will expect

It looks like a blue-tinted Apocalypto poster...

Cameron will just slap on "From the Director of Titanic" and call it a night.

July 1st, 2009 3:01pm
How's he to confident? They're in the process of sinking tons of money into this movie, as well as all the money that went into engineering the new 3-d cameras. Don't you think they're going to use every inklet of marketing and publicity they can muster?

I reckon your heads too far up your ass to see how these things work.

When do you guys think we'll see some Iron Man 2 footage? I heard Favreau was done shooting with Mickey Rourke already.
