Academy Award nominee David Strathairn will join Ansel Elgort, Chloe Moretz and Academy Award Nominee Catherine Keener in Sacha Gervasi's November Criminals for Lotus Entertainment. Based on an adapted screenplay by Academy Award Nominee Steven Knight from Sam Munson's novel, the film begins production in Rhode Island and Washington, D.C. today.

Beth O'Neil is producing alongside Erika Olde of Black Bicycle Entertainment and Lotus Entertainment, who is also handling international sales. Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions acquired the film for the English-speaking world, as well as numerous international territories. Lotus Entertainment's Ara Keshishian along with SPWA's Executive Vice President Joe Matukewicz are overseeing production.

November Criminals follows two teenagers into the dangerous underbelly of Washington, D.C. as they investigate the murder of their friend while falling in love for the first time. Lotus Entertainment's current slate includes: Jeff Buhler's spec Descendant; Xavier Gens' thriller The Crucifixionfrom a screenplay by Chad and Carey Hayes; Shekhar Kapur's epic adventure Tiger's Curse, based on the first in a series of New York Times bestselling novels; Tanya Wexler's Replicas starring Keanu Reeves; and Luis Prieto's Kidnap starring Halle Berry, which is currently in post-production.
