Filmmaker Adam Shankman has signed on to direct Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage in the Paramount Pictures comedy O'Lucky Day. We first reported on the project back in October 2013 when Peter Dinklage signed on, but this is the first we're hearing of the new title. The actor is set to play a con man who may or may not be an actual leprechaun, although he successfully passes off as one.

Andrew Dodge, who wrote last year's R-rated comedy Bad Words starring Jason Bateman, wrote the original draft of the script, with Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (Friday the 13th, Freddy vs. Jason) providing the most recent rewrite. Production is scheduled to start this April, after Peter Dinklage wraps up work on Season 5 of Game of Thrones.

Mary Parent and Cale Boyter are producing through their Disuption Entertainment company, along with Peter Dinklage. Best known for his Emmy-winning role as Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, Peter Dinklage most recently starred in features such as The Angriest Man in Brooklyn and X-Men: Days of Future Past. He will next be seen in this summer's video game comedy Pixels and Michelle Darnell.
