Now that Wilfred is over, Elijah Wood is moving onto lighter fare. The acting icon stars in Open Windows, which looks at fame and the dangers of obsession. Wood plays Nick, a fan who wins a date with exciting actress of the moment Jill (former porn star Sasha Grey). When Jill refuses to go out with Nick, a series of events are set into play that actually expose a plot to have the Hollywood starlet executed. Watch as Nick goes on a wild chase to save the woman, using his computer and various other 'open windows' to stop the manic plans devised by Chord, a man posing as Jill's campaign manager. It's a wild cat and mouse action thriller directed by cult favorite Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes; Extraterrestrial).

When Nick discovers that he's won a dinner date with his favorite star Jill Goddard, he's incredibly excited to finally get the chance to meet her. That excitement deflates when Jill refuses to honor the contest and all of Nick's hopes are dashed. He's intrigued when Chord, a man claiming to be Jill's campaign manager, offers him something he can't quite refuse: Chord will give Nick the ability to constantly view Jill via computer. Nick is initially reluctant but Chord persuades him by saying that he should get at least some entertainment out of the actress. However, Nick is unaware that this decision will put him and Jill at risk.
