Oscar Isaac to play Pablo Escobar in upcoming biopicOscar Isaac is set to play Pablo Escobar in a biopic about the infamous Columbian drug cartel kingpin.

Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer) is directing from a screenplay by Matthew Aldrich, which spent time on the Black List.

Relativity Media is behind this drama, which begins filming in September, on location in Columbia.

Pablo Escobar was released in 2014.

      Sideways thumb. Loved him and Drive, and he's undoubtedly poised to give the performance of his career in the upcoming Inside Llewyn Davis. I'll need to see more on this before I'm sold, however.
