Back in August, actor Bruce Campbell announced that he would have a role in Sam Raimi's Oz: The Great and Powerful. However, the actor took to his Twitter account last weekend to reveal that he won't be appearing in Oz: The Great and Powerful after all. Here's what Bruce Campbell had to say below.

"News: my scene in Oz has been cut before shooting. It happens on epic flicks. Disappointed, but all good w/Sam. On to the next adventure!"

It wasn't known what character Bruce Campbell would have played, although it was said to be "pivotal." However, Bruce Campbell also revealed earlier today that he starred alongside James Franco in a project entitled Neglect.

"My scene in Oz got the axe, but I enjoyed doing a bit yesterday with Mr. James Franco in Neglect. Powerhouse stuff. He's one groovy cat."

Sam Raimi is directing Oz: The Great and Powerful from a screenplay by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire. Production is currently under way in Pontiac, Michigan.
