According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount is in the process of developing a sequel to 2005's Four Brothers. The studio hopes to bring back much of the creative people behind the first film.

Mark Wahlberg wants to reprise his starring role. He even sparked the sequel idea with original writers David Elliot and Paul Lovett. Lorenzo Di Bonaventura is returning to produce.

The original Four Brothers was directed by John Singleton. It centered on four adopted brothers (Wahlberg, Tyrese Gibson, Andre Benjamin and Garrett Hedlund) who joined forces to avenge their mother's death. That film brought in $74 million at the domestic boxoffice.

Currently there is no word on what the plot for this film will be, or which actors are going to return. Hedlund's character was killed off in the first movie.
