‘Passion Play’ Trailer

The first trailer has arrived for the upcoming indie drama Passion Play, which arrives in theaters on May 6. Click on the video player below for your first glimpse at this drama starring Mickey Rourke, Megan Fox, Bill Murray, and Rhys Ifans.

Nate Poole (Mickey Rourke, The Wrestler, Iron Man 2) is a washed-up jazz musician fleeing from trigger-happy gangster Happy Shannon (Bill Murray, Lost In Translation). While on the run, Nate stumbles across a traveling carnival, and is instantly mesmerized by the carnival's prized attraction, Lily "The Bird Woman" (Megan Fox, Transformers). But Lily is no carny fake: her wings are real. The fugitive musician falls in love with this angelic creature, and he convinces her to leave with him, to the anger of her ruthless employer (Rhys Ifans, Notting Hill). The two flee across the desert, but towards... what? Their destruction? Their salvation?

Combining realism and myth, Passion Play is a portrait of humanity at its best and worst. Gritty and hard-boiled, it is also an adult fairytale that promises hope in the most unlikely of places.

Passion Play was released May 6th, 2011.

there is potential here but any of that potential is ruined by addingh Fox to the mix. Something about her i just cannot stand and i cant quite put my finger on it.

@dan1... at the same time, that also seemed to be a low quality upload of the trailer. I could be wrong, maybe a second trailer will do something for you, I'm not excited for it but I'm definitely intrigued by it. I don't know why, maybe because it gives me some 'Casino' vibes.

@youngrizo I want to be optimistic like you about it, as I'm a fan of both of those actors as well (particularly Murray), but that trailer just felt sloppy to me, and that is what trailers are for, right? To sell it to us? I didn't feel 'sold'. Maybe a 2nd trailer will bring me around.

I'm gonna give this a chance, Bill Murray and Mickey Rourke couldn't have both chosen to be in a film if they thought the scripts was bad. Also, I'm not gonna watch a whole trailer for a film starring 2 of my favorite actors and make hating on Megan Fox the first thing I do.

However, I don't deny that Fox is beautiful.

Seems too weird, in a bad way. Didn't like the editing of that trailer either. Getting bad vibes from this.
