Like any doting father would do, Paul Blart (Kevin James) makes sure his daughter (Raini Rodriguez) has plenty of protection before going out in a new clip from Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. Before leaving, Paul runs down the checklist with Maya: extra phone battery, flashlight, hot pepper spray, pocket knife/keychain/window smasher and baby road flares. When Paul insists that she carries a walkie-talkie, set to "monitor" mode, so Paul can hear everything that's going on, Maya reveals she already "feels like a SWAT team."

In this sequel, in which Kevin James reprises the role of Paul Blart, the security guard is headed to Las Vegas to attend a Security Guard Expo with his teenage daughter Maya (Raini Rodriguez) before she departs for college. While at the convention, he inadvertently discovers a heist - and it's up to Blart to apprehend the criminals. Neal McDonough, Daniella Alonso, Eduardo Verástegui, David Henrie, D.B. Woodside, Nicholas Turturro, Loni Love and Gary Valentine round out the supporting cast.

In addition to the clip, Sony Pictures has also released a new TV spot for director Andy Fickman's comedy sequel, which was written Kevin James and Nick Bakay, the writing team behind the first Paul Blart: Mall Cop. Will Paul Blart save the day in Sin City? Take a look at the latest footage before this upcoming sequel hits theaters April 17.
