Months after the first poster and the official trailer debuted in November, Sony Pictures has released the second trailer for Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. The new footage features Blart attacking a number of unusual "adversaries," including a large exotic bird and an elderly hotel maid, while showing off his skills on the Segway.

In this sequel, in which Kevin James reprises the role of Paul Blart, the security guard is headed to Las Vegas to attend a Security Guard Expo with his teenage daughter Maya (Raini Rodriguez) before she departs for college. While at the convention, he inadvertently discovers a heist - and it's up to Blart to apprehend the criminals.

The supporting cast is rounded out by Eduardo Verástegui, Daniella Alonso, Neal McDonough, David Henrie and Nicholas Turturro. The original Paul Blart: Mall Cop took in nearly $150 million at the domestic box office back in 2009, from just a $26 million budget. Do you think the sequel can put up similar numbers when it arrives in theaters April 17? Take a look at the new trailer, and chime in with your thoughts about this comedy follow-up.
