Bridesmaids director Paul Feig has signed on to direct the HBO pilot Viagra Diaries. We first reported on the project back in June, when Goldie Hawn became attached to star.

The plot centers on a woman (Goldie Hawn) who struggles with the prospect of being single for the first time in 35 years, when her 65-year-old husband suddenly leaves. The pilot is adapted from the book of the same name written by Barbara Rose Brooker.

Sex and the City creator Darren Star wrote the pilot script, and will executive produce alongside Goldie Hawn, Paul Feig, Aaron Kaplan, David Knoller, Alan Nevins, Brian Medavoy, Alan Riche, Peter Riche, and Wendy Riche.

No production schedule was given for the pilot.
