While we're no longer allowed to show you the pictures by law, there were many secret spy photos snapped of Paul Giamatti as Rhino on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 this past spring. Some featured the actor in a tracksuit, while others showed him in a large contraption that would be aided by CGI later on in post-production. One thing was clear, this was not the Rhino we knew from the comic books, and the character was clearly taking on a more realistic style and approach to his evildoing. Some would call it a more Nolan-esque way of bringing Russian mobster Aleksei Sytsevich to the big screen.

Many fans have gotten upset over calling Aleksei 'Rhino' when he is pictured only in his track suit, but the look, accompanied by a tattoo on the forehead, is his new signature costume of choice. Though, not his only costume, as some secrets are being kept for the movie. Speaking with The Toronto Sun, Paul Giamatti revealed more about Rhino's clothing choices, and the fact that he will be gearing up in something special that won't be revealed until the movie is in theaters. And it may, actually, resemble a rhinoceros.

"In the comic books of old, he had this suit on that made him look like a rhinoceros, and it made him super strong. If there was a bank vault he would just run right through it. Butt through it with his head. And he was not very smart.

I have a particular kind of suit, but I don't think I'm supposed to talk about it. He's a Russian mobster. Russians are always good villains. I have an ability to just destroy things. My accent is pretty hammy. I loved doing it. it seemed to me like an opportunity to be as over-the-top hammy as possible. It was really fun."

The actor then went onto reveal the fact that Electro and Rhino are not the only villains in the upcoming sequel, hinting that there will be more.

"[Rhino is just] one of several bad guys in the movie. I believe there's a lot of stage-setting for the next film. There are several villains in this movie, and some of them are more foreground and important. Jamie Foxx is and stuff. A couple of us are more hanging around the background because I think there will be a bigger deal."

While the press materials released thus far for the movie have only revealed that Electro and Rhino are the main protagonists, with Electro taking on all the heavy lifting, we do know that SPOILER ALERT!Dane DeHaan will be suiting up as the Green Goblin in the climactic end battle sequence. But are there even more characters set to make an appearance we don't know about yet? Probably.
