Has O.J. Simpson actually seen The People Vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story yet? That's the question some are asking as the former pro-athlete-turned-suspected murderer gives a very mixed review of the new hit FX drama recounting the infamous court case that put the football player on trial for the death of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson. He's made recent statements about the show, giving his own critique. And now, Cuba Gooding Jr., who plays the former NFL Hall-of-Famer, is responding to the man's comments.

Days after The People Vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story debuted on FX, Cuba Gooding Jr. received what can only be described as a very mixed review from O.J. Simpson, whom some call the most important critic in terms of this drama. Cuba Gooding Jr. has not had any personal contacted with the 'Juice'. Orenthal James Simpson currently stands as a convicted felon incarcerated at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada. But O.J. did send an indirect message to the Oscar winning actor. About the whole thing, Cuba Gooding Jr. had this to say to Andy Cohen.

"He must be posted up at the payphone in jail right now. It's like everybody keeps giving a quote that he said. He hasn't seen the show, but 'Cuba's portrayal I feel indifferent about'?"

In that statement, Cuba Gooding Jr. is referencing a direct quote he heard from O.J. The actor was less than thrilled with this particular assessment from the former pro-athlete. He went on to ponder what exactly Simpson is trying to say about the FX drama, and doesn't believe that he hasn't seen the show yet.

"Well, what is it? Have you seen the show or you feel indifferent?"

O.J. Simpson may have to watch every episode unfold like most of America, as it doesn't sound like he's being sent advanced screeners in prison. Perhaps the most infamous man in the world is waiting to see more from the show before he gives his full assessment on what transpires on the small screen. As it stands, The People Vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story is a hit with audiences and critics alike. The show has garnered 5.1 million total viewers since it's debut on February 2nd. The show is a hit.
