Amanda Seyfried is returning to the small screen, landing a pivotal role in Showtime's highly-anticipated Twin Peaks revival series. Her character's identity was not announced, but TV Line revealed that she will play a major role, appearing in multiple episodes of the series. The Twin Peaks casting has not been confirmed, but it could signal the start of many more roles that will be revealed in the near future.
The site speculates that the 29-year-old actress could be the daughter of Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) and Annie Blackburn (Heather Graham), who appears in the last six episodes of the series. Of course, that hasn't been confirmed, and Showtime wouldn't comment on the casting news. Kyle MacLachlan has been confirmed to come back as Cooper, but we haven't heard if Heather Graham's Annie Blackburn may return as well.Read More

We just haven't seen enough from Ted 2 yet! And it's only a few months away from hitting theater screens across the country this summer. But that all changes courtesy of the MTV Movie Awards, which has just debuted the first clip from the anticipated sequel. We also get to see Mark Wahlberg introducing this sneak peek while at a mini-golf course, as he torments his MTV host with the ball, trying to stuff it in his mouth.
The clip itself features both Mark Wahlberg and Ted, voiced once again by writer and director Seth MacFarlane. It also introduces a new character played by incoming love interest Amanda Seyfried. John Bennett and Ted have sought out the help of a lawyer, and the duo quickly spiral into a riff-off on law terminology. While the clip itself is somewhat short, we do get a sense of what we can expect from this follow-up to the 2012 smash hit Ted.Read More
Amanda Seyfried and Theo James have signed on to star in the supernatural thriller Black Lung, which will be executive produced by True Detective director Cary Fukunaga. The story centers on Del (Amanda Seyfried), the wife of a Utah coal miner who has a premonition about an impending disaster, which ultimately saves her husband's (Theo James) life. This puts the husband under suspicion when a mine explosion traps several other miners, as the wife's visions keep getting worse and worse, hinting at a sinister, supernatural force within the mountain.
Production is scheduled to begin this summer. Amanda Seyfried most recently starred in A Million Ways to Die in the West, and she will next be seen in While We're Young, Ted 2 and Pan later this year. Theo James reprises his role as Four from last year's Divergent in next month's sequel The Divergent Series: Insurgent.Read More
Amanda Seyfried is set to reunite with her A Million Ways to Die in the West director/co-star Seth MacFarlane for the Universal Pictures comedy sequel Ted 2. No character details were given, but the actress is said to be playing the female lead.
Mark Wahlberg is reprising his Ted role as John Bennett, a grown man who lives with his foul-mouthed teddy bear that came to life when he was a child. Mila Kunis, who played John's girlfriend Lori Collins in the original, is said to be returning in a tiny role, that may end up being cut from the film. The decision to give Mila Kunis a lesser role comes strictly from a creative standpoint, and not any animosity between Seth MacFarlane and the actress, who still voices Meg on his Fox animated TV series Family Guy.Read More
