Earlier this week, we showed you the first set photos from Marvel's highly-anticipated Phase Three adventure Doctor Strange, which is currently shooting in Nepal. Yesterday we got a better look at the bearded Benedict Cumberbatch on the set as he was photographed walking through the streets of Kathmandu. Today, Dutourdumonde Photography has captured the first video from the set, which gives us another look at Benedict Cumberbatch, and also teases a mysterious hooded figure.
The video appears to be taken from the same set as the previous photos, with the actor seen walking through a crowded street, thumbing through a book of some sort. We also see a hooded figure whose face is obscured, and from the way the video was cut together, it isn't known if this mystery character is following Dr. Stephen Strange, or if he is important to the story. We also get a few brief glimpses of director Scott Derrickson, and if that wasn't enough, more photos from the set have also surfaced.Read More
Yesterday, we brought you the first set photo from Marvel's Doctor Strange. As of yet, we have no official word from Disney nor Marvel that confirms shooting has started. More set photos have arrived today. And we get a better look at star Benedict Cumberbatch. Though, this latest sneak peek shows our leading man before his big http://movieweb.com/doctor-strange-movie-rachel-mcadams-character/superhero transformation.
One of the images reveals the film crew that is traveling with Benedict Cumberbatch through Nepal. It is very small. And it looks like these may be quick pick-up shots to be used in a montage of some sort. These certainly aren't spectacular action set pieces. And it's speculated that we're seeing Dr. Stephen Strange on the first leg of his journey, as he sets out to become the Sorcerer Supreme. In fact, the crew here is so small, perhaps this is test footage being shot, or some other production altogether.Read More

After months of speculation, Marvel finally announced last month that ever-popular actor Benedict Cumberbatch is set to take on the role of Doctor Strange. Though the actor vehemently denied he was involved with the project last year, he recently opened up to The Wall Street Journal about taking on the role, which a lot of other actors were hesitant to sign on for. He doesn't consider the movie a risk. But don't expect any spoilers just yet, as he's not allowed to talk about anything too specific.

After first engaging in talks back in October, Marvel Studios finally confirmed earlier this month that Benedict Cumberbatch is portraying the title character in Doctor Strange. Casting for the supporting roles is starting to heat up, with Morgan Freeman being eyed to play the Ancient One, who serves as a mentor to Stephen Strange in the comic books. While we wait for the cast to be finalized, director Scott Derrickson recently took to his Twitter page to debut new artwork feturing Benedict Cumberbatch.
It isn't known if this artwork is something Scott Derrickson created himself, or if it was artwork that was commissioned by Marvel. Regardless of how official it is, it does paint an intriguing portrait of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, giving us an early tease of how the actor may look as this popular character when the comic book adaptation arrives in theaters November 4, 2016. It isn't known exactly when production will begin on this Phase Three adventure, but it will likely start shooting after Captain America: Civil War wraps next year.Read More
