Boaz Yakin Will Direct Family Adventure ‘Max’

Boaz Yakin has signed on to direct the family adventure project Max for MGM Studios.

The story, based on true events, follows a Belgian Shepherd Malinois military dog who returns to America after his Marine handler died on duty in Afghanistan. While the dog is erratic and violent when he comes home, Max is adopted by the Marine's family, forming a bond with his 14-year-old brother. With the help of his troubled dog, they unravel the mystery behind their brother's death and regroup as a family.
