Ice Cube Challenges Charlie Day to a ‘Fist Fight’

Ice Cube and Charlie Day are both in talks to star in the New Line Cinema comedy Fist Fight. Deadline reports that negotiations are currently in the early stages, but producers are hoping to find a director in the near future, in hopes of starting production in September. It isn't known if there are any specific filmmakers that New Line is currently eyeing.

The story is being compared to the 1987 comedy Three O'Clock High, only a grown-up version. The plot follows a timid teacher (Charlie Day) who gets challenged to a fight by a colleague (Ice Cube), who thinks he's trying to get him fired. ‘Pacific Rim’ Set Visit: Charlie Day and Ron Perlman Talk the Humanity of Monsters and Robots

The long-awaited Monsters and Robots mash-em-up Pacific Rim is finally coming to theaters on July 11th. And while most fans are going to see the movie for its epic battles, which play out between an army of manmade machines known as Jaegers and the giant Kaiju that have sprang from the bottom of our ocean to tear this world apart, director Guillermo del Toro's latest thriller also has a very human side. On the other end of that spectrum is Guillermo del Toro mainstay Ron Perlman who plays Hannibal Chau, a black marketer dealing in Kaiju organs. This oddfellow pair comes together with their shared knowledge, and proves to be a worthy opponent against the city devouring space creatures, with both men becoming heroes in their own right.
