This past week, Disney announced they are moving forward on a live-action remake of their classic animated adventure The Sword in the Stone. The story follows a young King Arthur as Merlin teaches him how to become a powerful leader. Warner Bros. is going to get their first, though, with their powerful medieval fantasy thriller Knights of the Round Table. Shooting has continued in England throughout this past year, and now Entertainment Weekly has our first look at it's leading man.
Charlie Hunnam plays the title monarch in Knights of the Round Table. The former Sons of Anarchy star proudly shows off his massive sword while lounging in, on and around the set of director Guy Ritchie's latest attempt to rebuff an ancient legend. It follows his other reboots Sherlock Holmes, which found much success with Robert Downey Jr. in the lead, and this summer's as yet unproven TV adaptation, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., which will attempt to make superstars out of Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer. And if we're to judge Knights of the Round Table on these photos alone, it looks as though Guy Ritchie is ready to bring his signature style to a land far removed from our modern culture in.Read More

Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam has signed on to join Robert Pattinson and Sienna Miller in the adaptation The Lost City of Z. No details were given on what character he is playing in this adaptation of David Grann's non-fiction best-seller of the same name, which explores the true story of British soldier and spy Percy Fawcett.
The story follow Fawcett as he leaves the Victorian society in 1925 to explore in the Amazon jungle with his son, obsessed with finding a civilization known as Z. Neither Percy nor his son were ever heard from again. Facwett's expeditions helped inspire author Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World. Benedict Cumberbatch was at one point attached to play Fawcett, but he is no longer involved with the project.Read More
Charlie Hunnam and Margot Robbie are in talks to join the Fox 2000 adaptation The Mountain Between Us. Michael Fassbender was attached to star back in March 2012, when Gerardo Naranjo was set to direct, but neither are involved in the adaptation at this time.
The plot is based on the Charles Martin novel that follows Ashley, a writer leaving Salt Lake City for her wedding on the East Coast, and Ben, a doctor returning from a medical conference. After their flight is delayed, they agree to charter a plane back East together, although the pilot suffers a heart attack and they crash in the wilderness. Even though his ribs are broken, Ben helps Ashley, who suffered a broken leg, down the mountain in harsh conditions.Read More

Though Charlie Hunnam is about to ride off into the sunset with the final season of his FX series Sons of Anarchy this fall, the actor has emerged as director Guy Ritchie's top choice to play the title character in Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur. We reported last month that Idris Elba is playing Bedivere, the right-hand man of Arthur's father who teaches the young man how to fight and how to lead an army.
Charlie Hunnam is in final negotiations for the project, which will be the first in a series of six movies that we first reported on back in January. Joby Harold (Edge of Tomorrow) wrote the script for the first movie, which lays the groundwork for this epic six-movie franchise. No story details have been released thus far.Read More
