Chelsea Handler has joined the cast of Blended, which already includes Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore, and Joel McHale.

The story centers on a man (Adam Sandler) and a woman (Drew Barrymore) who, after a terrible blind date, become stuck at a family resort with the children of their previous marriages. Chelsea Handler is playing the best friend of Drew Barrymore's character. Joel McHale also stars as Drew Barrymore's ex-husband.

That '70s Show and How I Met Your Mother star Laura Prepon has signed onto play Chelsea Handler's alter ego in NBC's series adaptation of the comedian's best selling novel Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea.

The pilot will center on the slightly named-altered Chelsea Hanson, a free spirited cocktail waitress who loves alcohol and one-night stands. The series will be a multi-camera sitcom that will delve into the truth behind some of Chelsea Handler's more racy real-life exploits.

Chelsea Lately host Chelsea Handler will be bringing her brand of comedy to NBC's primetime lineup with a new series entitled Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea, according to Deadline.

The network issued a put pilot commitment to the series, which will be based off Chelsea Handler's 2008 book of the same name and will revolve around her life during her twenties. Dharma & Greg creator Dottie Dartland and Julie Ann Larson will team up to adapt the book for the series' pilot.

Chelsea Handler, host of E!'s late-night talk show Chelsea Lately, will star in a new half-hour comedy for the network, After Lately, which examines the backstage goings-on of her aforementioned late-night show.

According to Variety, E! has ordered eight episodes of After Lately, which is in a vein similar to HBO's The Larry Sanders Show. The plan is for the thesps to work more from story outlines rather than fully developed scripts, the same technique used on HBO comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm."The show is a behind-the-scenes look at what happens at our office when the cameras are off. ... A perfect platform for people who have no business being on camera," Chelsea Handler said.

Chelsea Handler, host of E!'s late night talk show Chelsea Lately, has landed a role in the new McG comedy-thriller This Means War, according to Deadline New York.

Chelsea Handler will play best friend to Reese Witherspoon. The story centers on two CIA agents and best friends (Tom Hardy and Chris Pine), who are trying to woo Witherspoon's character by one-upping each other at every turn.
