After helping Earth's Mightiest Heroes take down Ultron in Avengers Age of Ultron last month, Chris Hemsworth is taking on a much different role. Director Paul Feig confirmed today that Chris Hemsworth will play the receptionist in his all-female Ghostbusters reboot. Nothing is known about the character, with the filmmaker only saying, "Our receptionist #whoyougonnacall" on his Twitter page earlier today.
The casting choice is quite appropriate, since the new Ghostbusters will all be female. Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones have signed on to play the new Ghostbusters, but there is still very little we know about the story thus far. In Ivan Reitman's original Ghostbusters, the receptionist Janine Melnitz was portrayed by Annie Potts, who returned for the 1989 sequel Ghostbusters 2.Read More
