Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo return to the helm, working from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Now, a third report has come in, and while no character is named, Variety notes that the villain will actually be the main nemesis seen in Doctor Strange.

Captain America: Civil War, which hits theaters May 16, 2016, will actually set up Doctor Strange's main villain, which hits theaters later that same year in November. This is all speculation, of course, until Disney and Marvel confirm or deny it. But sources close to the studio claim that this is how the story is set to play out.
