While she doesn't work exclusively within the horror genre, Danielle Harris is primarily known as a genre icon. The actress played Jamie Lloyd in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and Halloween 5 before she was even a teenager. She returned to the franchise as Annie Brackett in Rob Zombie's remakes Halloween and Halloween II. However, she may be best known for her role as the tough-as-nails Marybeth in the gruesome Hatchet franchise, which closes out with Hatchet III, debuting on VOD formats and in theaters June 14. This time around, Marybeth teams up with a local cop (Zach Galligan) and his wife (Caroline Williams) to put an end to Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder) and his reign of terror once and for all. I recently had the chance to speak with this talented actress over the phone, where we discussed working with Kane Hodder, her future as a director, and so much more. Here's what she had to say.
I've had such a blast with this franchise. For you, knowing this is the last movie, was it bittersweet going into this, knowing this is the last time you're going to tangle with Victor?Read More
Hatchet III continues the tale of the now-iconic villain Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder). As a search and recovery team heads into the haunted swamp to pick up the pieces and carnage left behind from the first two films, Marybeth (Danielle Harris) hunts down the true secret to ending the voodoo curse that has left the ghost of Victor Crowley haunting and terrorizing Honey Island Swamp for decades. The second very gory, very NSFW trailer has been released. You can watch it in all its blood red glory, but beware: There are balls hanging from a tree! You may want to cover your eyes...
Hatchet III is set to open in New York City's Cinema Village and in Los Angeles at Laemmle Music Hall on June 14th. New cities have just been added. Fans in Denver and Columbus will also be able to catch the film in theaters on June 14th. The film will also premiere on VOD and digital download on the same date. Opening week will feature special appearances by cast and crew, followed by Q&A's at each location.Read More

Hatchet II is a sequel to the popular 2006 horror film, Hatchet, and stars a string of horror film icons including Danielle Harris (Halloween 5), Kane Hodder (Friday The 13th) and Tony Todd (Candyman). We recently had a chance to sit down and speak with the films director, Adam Green, as well as actress Danielle Harris, to discuss the new film, its gory material, the unrated film's unprecedented wide release and the state of horror films today. To watch our exclusive interview please click on the video clip below.
Adam Green's Hatchet II picks up at the exact moment that 2006's Hatchet ends, wherein the quiet but hot-tempered Marybeth (Danielle Harris) is in a small boat in the Louisiana swamps, screaming for her life as she tries to free herself from the clutches of the deformed, swamp-dwelling killer Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder). Crowley has murdered Marybeth's family and other fellow vacationers who had come together on a tourist excursion in the swamplands outside of New Orleans. Marybeth escapes from Crowley and manages to make it back to civilization, where she once again encounters voodoo shop proprietor Reverend Zombie (Tony Todd), who had helped to arrange Marybeth and company's earlier, and ill-fated tour of the area. To help Marybeth and also serve his own secret agenda, Reverend Zombie recruits a hardened pack of hunters to head back into the swamp to seek revenge on Victor Crowley.Read More
