It isn't known if the actor's statement means that The Chronicles of Riddick: Furia is a prequel or an origin story, or if he simply meant this movie will explore the planet that Riddick came from. It isn't known if the TV series, Merc City, will be connected to this big screen adventure as well. ‘Riddick’ Director David Twohy Takes on Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Replay’

Riddick director David Twohy is staying in the sci-fi genre, signing on to direct Relativity Media's Replay.

We first reported on the project back in July, when Relativity picked up the then-untitled script by Joe Gazzam. That report revealed the plot will center on a father and son, although now we have new details. The story will follow Tyler Vaughn, a test subject in a quantum experiment who is sent four days into the future. There he learns that his son has been killed and he is the prime suspect in the murder. When that day ends, he's pulled back to the previous day, as he tries to solve his son's murder before he gets back to present day.

Alcon Entertainment Picks Up ‘The Leonardo Job’

Financing and production company Alcon Entertainment is in final negotiations to acquire, finance and produce the David Twohy (The Fugitive, Pitch Black, G.I. Jane) screenplay The Leonardo Job, it was announced by Alcon co-founders and co-CEO's Andrew A. Kosove and Broderick Johnson. Twohy is attached to direct as well.

An action thriller about the heist of the "lost" Leonardo da Vinci painting "The Battle of Anghiari"; the story involves two rival master thieves hired to go to Florence to track down the "mythical" painting. These experts use high tech and old tricks to prove the painting exists and pinpoint its location - hidden behind another masterpiece. They are forced to combine skills when their schemes to steal the painting get more complicated and dangerous after they discover they are not the only ones pursuing the hidden treasure.
