Dylan McDermott Joins ‘Survivor’

Dylan McDermott has joined the cast of James McTeigue's upcoming espionage thriller Survivor. Angela Bassett, Pierce Brosnan, Milla Jovovich and Emma Thompson were also attached on Monday.

The film centers on a female State Department employee (Milla Jovovich) who is deployed to the American embassy in London. She is tasked with preventing terrorists from getting into the U.S. and becomes involved with a conspiracy that puts her on the wrong side of the law. The agent then finds herself on a race against time to stop an attack on Times Square on New Year's Eve.

Dylan McDermott Joins ‘Freezer’

Envision Media Arts (EMA) announced today that Dylan McDermott will star in Freezer, an action-thriller shooting this month in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Mikael Salomon will direct from a script by Tom Doganoglu and Shane Weisfeld. Lee Nelson and David Buelow will produce for Envision Media.

Robert (McDermott), an everyday guy, finds himself tested beyond human endurance when he awakens to find himself locked in an industrial freezer by Russian thugs. They insist he returns the $8 million dollars he stole from them, the only problem is, Robert has no idea what they are talking about.... As he fights for his life before freezing to death, the truth slowly reveals itself.

Dylan McDermott Joins ‘Mercy’

American Horror Story star Dylan McDermott is returning to the horror genre, signing on to star in the Stephen King adaptation Mercy.

The story, based on Stephen King's short story Gramma, follows two young brothers (Joel Courtney and Chandler Riggs) who discover that their grandmother is actually an evil witch. No details were given for Dylan McDermott's character. Frances O'Connor also stars as the boys' mother.

American Horror Story star Dylan McDermott has joined the cast of Dog Fight for Warner Bros. and director Jay Roach.

Dylan McDermott will play Tim Wattley, a political consultant who runs the congressional campaign for a South Carolina candidate (Zach Galifianakis). We reported on Monday that Jason Sudeikis will star alongside Will Ferrell, Sarah Baker, and Katherine LaNasa.

FX has released a video clue for the upcoming fall thriller American Horror Story, set to airs its series premiere Wednesday, October 5 at 9 PM ET. Dylan McDermott Lines Up ‘Nobody Walks’

Dylan McDermott has boarded two projects: Nobody Walks written by Lena Dunham and Ry Russo-Young, and Summit's The Perks of Being a Wallflower starring Emma Watson.

Actor Dylan McDermott has signed on for the male lead in the FX pilot American Horror Story, from Glee creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.

Little is known about the plot line for American Horror Story, although it is believed Dylan McDermott will play Ben Harmon, an overly-sensitive therapist who is married to a powerful woman, Vivien (Connie Britton). Jessica Lange has already signed on to portray the married couple's nosy neighbor, with Denis O'Hare also cast in an unknown role.
