Is Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke the sexiest woman alive? Esquire magazine sure seems to think so. They've bestowed the actress with this title, and have even convinced her to bare all for their latest issue. This has resulted in a photo shoot that might just be too hot to handle. It's SFW, but barely!
Emilia Clarke wasn't quite able to push the quasi-reboot/sequel Terminator Genisys into blockbuster territory this summer, as the Arnold Schwarzenegger sci-fi thriller crashed and burned on American shores. But it did go onto rack up some impressive numbers in China, where Emilia Clarke is all the rage. She is perhaps best known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones. As Game of Thrones enters Season 6 this spring, some fans are still reeling from the absence of Jason Momoa. His presence was larger than life, but if you still haven't gotten around to watching the first season of this hit HBO show, we won't ruin it for you. Emilia Clarke is reciting a taunting line of dialogue from Game of Thrones Season 1 that came from the spiteful healer Mirri Maz Duur. Her full quote is: 'When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Throughout the first half of Game of Thrones Season 5, many fans were growing restless, since there wasn't much actually happening in Westeros and Essos. The action picked up considerably in the second half, capped off by the action-packed final three episodes, "Hardhome", "The Dance With Dragons" and "Mother's Mercy". If Emilia Clarke's statement is true, then it seems that series creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff will eschew the elongated setup that any fans didn't like about last season, and get straight into the action.
Game of Thrones Season 6 will be the first time that both readers of George R.R. Martin's books and faithful fans of the show won't know what to expect, since the series is actually surpassing the books. There is the possibility that George R.R. Martin finishes his long-awaited sixth book, The Winds of Winter, before Season 6 debuts, but we're not sure if that will happen or not. What do you think about these new Game of Thrones details? Are you glad that this season will be more fast-paced than the last?Read More
