‘Damsels in Distress’ Trailer

Sony Pictures Classics has released the first trailer for Damsels in Distress, which will arrive in theaters April 6. Click on the video player below for your first look at this collegiate drama starring Greta Gerwig, Adam Brody, and Analeigh Tipton.

Damsels in Distress is a comedy that follows a trio of beautiful girls who set out to revolutionize life at a grungy East Coast university - the dynamic leader Violet Wister (Greta Gerwig), principled Rose (Megalyn Echikunwoke) and sexy Heather (Carrie MacLemore). They welcome transfer student Lily (Analeigh Tipton) into their group which seeks to help severely depressed students with a program of good scent and musical dance numbers. The girls become romantically entangled with a series of men - including slick Charlie (Adam Brody), dreamboat Xavier (Hugo Becker) and the mad frat pack of Frank (Ryan Metcalf) and Thor (Billy Magnussen)- who threaten the girls' friendship and sanity.

‘The Place Beyond the Pines’ Lands Eva Mendes and Greta Gerwig

Eva Mendes and Greta Gerwig have joined the cast of Derek Cianfrance's indie drama The Place Beyond the Pines.

The story centers on Ryan Gosling, a motorcycle racer who discovers, during a visit to his hometown, that he has a son from a one-night stand many years ago. In order to provide for his new son, he takes on a new gig as a bank robber, where he ends up running into an ex-cop and current politician (Bradley Cooper). Eva Mendes will play Ryan Gosling's love interest and baby's mother, while Greta Gerwig will play Bradley Cooper's wife.

‘Lola Versus’ Adds Greta Gerwig and Joel Kinnaman

Groundswell Productions and Fox Searchlight Pictures announced today that principal photography for Lola Versus began today in New York City starring Greta Gerwig (Greenberg), Zoe Lister Jones (Breaking Upwards), Joel Kinnaman (AMC's The Killing), Hamish Linklater (The Future), three time Academy Award nominee Debra Winger (Rachel Getting Married) and Bill Pullman (Igby Goes Down). Acclaimed New York-based filmmaker Daryl Wein (Breaking Upwards) is directing from an original screenplay he co-wrote with Lister Jones. The film has been acquired and will be released in North America, UK, France and other major international territories by Fox Searchlight Pictures. Groundswell Productions is financing with Michael London and Jocelyn Hayes producing and Janice Williams executive producing. Lola Versus will be shot entirely on location in New York City.

With Lola Versus, Daryl Wein and Lister Jones, a unique couple both professionally and personally, have crafted a comedic take on modern relationships told from the female perspective. Gerwig plays Lola, a 29-year-old woman dumped by her longtime boyfriend Luke (Kinnaman) just three weeks before their wedding. With the help of her close friends Henry (Linklater) and Alice (Lister Jones), Lola embarks on a series of desperate encounters in an attempt to find her place in the world as a single woman approaching 30.
