As you can see in the comic book panels below, Peggy is seen testing Pym's ability to improvise under pressure, which is similar to how she tested Steve Rogers' vibranium shield in Captain America: The First Avenger. It's also worth noting that there isn't a specific year given for when this story takes place, but Peggy seems to be much older than the 1946 version Hayley Atwell plays in ABC's Marvel's Agent Carter. It's possible that the actress will be "aged up" a bit, a process she is familiar with after playing an elderly version of Peggy on her deathbed in last year's Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The first issue runs 32 pages and will be priced at $2.99 when it debuts next week. It isn't known when the second part of this two-part series will debut at this time. Take a look at the comic book images below, and stay tuned for more details about Peggy Carter's connection to Hank Pym as we get closer to Ant-Man's release on July 17.Read More
Marvel fans eagerly anticipating something new will get just that tonight as both Marvel's Agent Carter and the first Ant-Man teaser trailer premiere on ABC. To help usher in this occasion, Marvel and Disney have released the final poster for the 2-hour Agent Carter series premiere, which kicks off with Now is Not the End in the first hour, and brings everything to a close with Bridge and Tunnel in the second half of the evening.
In the premiere, Peggy (Hayley Atwell) is contacted by old acquaintance Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) when he is framed for unleashing his deadliest weapons and can trust no one else. To help Peggy clear Stark's name, he insists his butler, Edwin Jarvis, be at her beck and call--whether she likes it or not. But the risk is great: If caught, Agent Carter could be targeted as a traitor and spend the rest of her days in prison...or worse. In the episode "Bridge and Tunnel," Howard Stark's deadliest weapon has fallen into enemy hands, and only Agent Carter can recover it. But can she do so before her undercover mission is discovered by SSR Chief Dooley and Agent Thompson?Read More
