This news comes at a time when Helen Mirren is still being voted one of the sexiest woman in her native homeland of Britain. And that's despite the actress being a septuagenarian. She is most infamously remembered for going nude in the X-Rated 1979 sex fest Caligula, which also starred such iconic and classic actors as Malcolm McDowell, John Gielgud and Peter O'Toole. The film itself shocked audiences with its numerous raw sex scenes, earning a reputation as one of the most controversial films of the 21st century. Perhaps it would be considered tame by today's standards.
Helen Mirren went topless for a calendar in 2003 at the age of 58. She then posed completely naked for a photo shoot in New York magazine in 2011, at the age of 66. While she has never minded stripping bare, one incident did bother her. She was photographed off screen while on break in Italy in 2008. She wasn't naked, but wearing a red bikini. Despite looking stunning at the age of 62, she would later say that the photos in question will 'haunt her forever'.Read More

Helen Mirren is in negotiations to join Bryan Cranston in the upcoming biopic Trumbo, based on the life of Hollywood screenwriter Dalton Trumbo.
The writer was considered to be the best of his era, not to mention the highest-paid, who earned his first Oscar nomination in 1941 for writing Kitty Foyle. His burgeoning career seemingly came to a halt in 1947, when he refused to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), during the committee's investigation into Communist influences in Hollywood. He was one of the "Hollywood 10" screenwriters who were completely blacklisted by the studio system, although he continued to write under pen names. He won two Oscars in the 1950s for writing Roman Holiday and The Brave One, before helping to put an end to the Hollywood 10 black list once and for all. He went on to write other classics such as Spartacus, Papillon and Exodus before dying of lung cancer in 1976.Read More
Production has begun in southwest France on The Hundred-Foot Journey based on the best-selling novel by Richard C. Morais. Starring Academy Award-winner Helen Mirren, and directed by Oscar nominee Lasse Hallström, the film will be released on August 8, 2014 in the U.S.
In The Hundred-Foot Journey, Hassan Kadam (Manish Dayal) is a culinary ingénue with the gastronomic equivalent of perfect pitch. Filled with charm, it is both picturesque and elegant - the ideal place to settle down and open an Indian restaurant, the Maison Mumbai. That is, until the chilly chef proprietress of Le Saule Pleureur, a Michelin starred, classical French restaurant run by Madame Mallory (Helen Mirren), gets wind of it. Her icy protests against the new Indian restaurant a hundred feet from her own escalate to all out war between the two establishments - until Hassan's passion for French haute cuisine and for Mme. Mallory's enchanting sous chef, Marguerite (Charlotte Le Bon), combine with his mysteriously delicious talent to weave magic between their two cultures and imbue Saint-Antonin with the flavors of life that even Mme. Mallory cannot ignore. At first Mme. Mallory's culinary rival, she eventually recognizes Hassan's gift as a chef and takes him under her wing.Read More
