This film tells (using modern day interviews and archival footage and sound tapes) the story of how in 1967, while his band The Beach Boys triumphantly toured abroad, Brian Wilson was trying to push the boundaries of conventional pop music with a new follow-up to the Beach Boys' cutting-edge mega-hit, Pet Sounds. The new album was to be called "SMiLE". SMiLE pushed the envelope both musically and lyrically, and was supposed to out-do the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper record. But Brian wasn't able to sell the project to his band-mates when they returned. The project was shelved and Wilson's well-documented decline into depression, drug abuse, recluseness, and obesity had begun. Thirty-odd years later, Wilson announced that in 2004, SMiLE would be performed live in its entirety in London. This film tells the story of a damaged but healing artist bringing his greatest work to light. Written by Martin Lewison <[email protected]>

The Dude's first mistake is paying a visit to his wealthy namesake in the hopes of getting a replacement for his soiled carpet. But instead of a Persian loaner, our reluctant hero and his buddy Walter (John Goodman) are swept up in extortion, double-cross, deception, embezzlement, sex and dope. 49 million people in the U.S.—one in four children—don’t know where their next meal is coming from, despite our having the means to provide nutritious, affordable food for all Americans. Directors Kristi Jacobson and Lori Silverbush examine this issue through the lens of three people who are struggling with food insecurity: Barbie, a single Philadelphia mother who grew up in poverty and is trying to provide a better life for her two kids; Rosie, a Colorado fifth-grader who often has to depend on friends and neighbors to feed her and has trouble concentrating in school; and Tremonica, a Mississippi second-grader whose asthma and health issues are exacerbated by the largely empty calories her hardworking mother can afford.
Their stories are interwoven with insights from experts including sociologist Janet Poppendieck, author Raj Patel and nutrition policy leader Marion Nestle; ordinary citizens like Pastor Bob Wilson and teachers Leslie Nichols and Odessa Cherry; and activists such as Witness to Hunger’s Mariana Chilton, Top Chef’s Tom Colicchio and Oscar®-winning actor Jeff Bridges.
Ultimately, A Place at the Table shows us how hunger poses serious economic, social and cultural implications for our nation, and that it could be solved once and for all, if the American public decides—as they have in the past—that making healthy food available and affordable is in the best interest of us all...

Welcome to The F.B.I. guide at TV Tome. The fourth series from QM Productions after "The New Breed", "The Fugitive", and "Twelve O'Clock High", "The F.B.I." was Quinn Martin's longest running action series. It was unique as its stories were apparently supervised by FBI director J. Edgar Hoover himself, no less. (Martin later allowed that Hoover was less concerned with the storylines but watched over the presentation of proper Bureau procedure with eagle eyes.) In its first year, the show allowed occasional human moments. Inspector Lewis Erskine lost his wife in a job-related shoot-out. His daughter, Barbara, was engaged to Special Agent Jim Rhodes, a match not altogether approved of by Erskine. Barbara was gone after the first year. Jim Rhodes lingered on for another season before being replaced by Special Agent Tom Colby who stayed on till 1973. Another agent, Chris Daniels was added in the ninth, and final, year of the show.
