‘American Assassin’ Gets Director Jeffrey Nachmanoff

CBS Films has brought on Jeffrey Nachmanoff (Traitor) to direct the action-thriller American Assassin.

We reported on this project back in June, when CBS Films set the project up for Edward Zwick to direct from a script he co-wrote with Marshall Herskovitz. It is said Edward Zwick left the project to direct The Great Wall with Henry Cavill. It isn't known if Jeffrey Nachmanoff will direct from Edward Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz's script, or if new writers will be brought in.

NBC Lands ‘Legends’ Pilot

NBC has picked up the pilot Legends from Homeland executive producer Howard Gordon and Jeffrey Nachmanoff.

The show follows an undercover agent who takes on legendary identities. The spy comes to learn that his own identity may be a lie as well. Jeffrey Nachmanoff will direct the pilot from his own script, and will executive produce alongside Howard Gordon. Jeffrey Nachmanoff has directed two episodes of Howard Gordon's Homeland.

Jeffrey Nachmanoff to Pen ‘Abduction’

Jeffrey Nachmanoff will pen screenplay for the thriller Abduction, which stars Taylor Lautner, who is also producing, according to Risky Business.

The film centers on a kid who ends up on the run once he discovers that his parents aren't his parents. Lionsgate purchased the Abduction package - Shawn Christensen's original script and Lautner's involvement - back in February, and the studio has been rushing it toward its July start date ever since.
